Why choose Ziętara Camp?

Ziętara Camp is a place where young hockey players from around the world can develop their skills under the guidance of experienced coaching staff.

Our camps are not only about top-level training, but also an opportunity to make international friends and gain unforgettable experiences in an inspiring atmosphere.

Thanks to our unique location in Sosnowiec and the possibility of accommodating participants and their families, participation in the camp becomes convenient and accessible to everyone, regardless of distance.

Opportunities for parents

Players from abroad are accommodated together with other camp participants and follow a full training programme tailored to their age and ability.

Parents have the option of booking a room at the hotel where the players are staying, which makes it easier to organise their stay. In addition, we provide language support to ensure smooth and comfortable communication with both the staff and the organisers.

During the camp, parents can watch all training sessions from the stands of the beautiful ArcelorMittal Park hall, cheering on their children and admiring their sporting development in a unique atmosphere.

What can parents do in Poland during the camp?

Poland is a country full of tourist attractions that are worth discovering during your stay. Parents can take advantage of our Parent Package, which includes accommodation, breakfast and the opportunity to watch their child's training sessions from the stands of the beautiful ArcelorMittal Park hall.

Cracow

is one of the most beautiful and atmospheric cities in Europe – the former capital of Poland and city of kings, where history meets modern lifestyle. It delights visitors with its perfectly preserved Old Town, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the royal Wawel Castle and the unique atmosphere of Kazimierz – a district full of cafés, galleries and history. It is a city bustling with culture, festivals and music, and at the same time an ideal place for peaceful walks along the Vistula River. Krakow offers excellent cuisine, a welcoming atmosphere and a wide range of museums, concerts and events throughout the year. From Sosnowiec, you can reach Krakow by car in about 1–1.5 hours (approx. 75 km) or directly by train.

The Wieliczka Salt Mine

It is one of the most valuable tourist attractions in Poland and a unique place inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Underground corridors, chambers and salt sculptures create an extraordinary world that impresses with both its scale and craftsmanship. The biggest attraction is the monumental St. Kinga's Chapel, carved entirely out of salt and considered one of the most beautiful underground temples in the world. It is a place that combines history, art and nature, offering an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages. Wieliczka is about 1–1.5 hours' drive from Sosnowiec.

Ojców National Park

It is the perfect place for those who want to feel close to nature and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, located just a dozen or so kilometres from Krakow. The park delights with its picturesque valleys, limestone rocks, caves and characteristic formations, such as Hercules' Club. It is a paradise for lovers of walking, light trekking and nature photography. An additional attraction are the historical monuments, including the Castle in Ojców and the Castle in Pieskowa Skała. From Sosnowiec, you can get here in about 50 minutes by car, covering a distance of about 45-50 kilometres., co czyni to miejsce idealnym celem krótkiej wycieczki.

Katowice

is a modern and dynamically developing city, which in recent years has undergone a huge metamorphosis from an industrial centre to an important centre of culture, business and sport. The city attracts visitors with places such as the Culture Zone with its icons of modern architecture – Spodek, NOSPR and the Silesian Museum – as well as numerous restaurants and music events. Katowice is the heart of Upper Silesia and an excellent base for exploring the entire agglomeration. It is a city that combines industrial heritage with a modern lifestyle. From Sosnowiec, you can reach Katowice by car in about 15–25 minutes.

Nearest airports:

  • Katowice Pyrzowice (KTW):
    30 minutes by car.
  • Kraków Balice (KRK):
    60 minutes by car.

Both airports are served by numerous low-cost airlines, such as Ryanair and Wizz Air, making it easy to find convenient and affordable connections.

Convenient location:
The distance between Hotel Szafran**** and the ArcelorMittal Park ice rink is approximately 15 minutes by car, providing participants and their parents with convenient access to the training venue.

Booking rooms for parents – rules and options

How do I book a room for a parent?
During the camp, it is possible to book a room for parents. Accommodation is provided at the Szafran Hotel**** in Czeladź, for the same period as the camp participants' stay – from Sunday to Saturday.

Accommodation conditions for parents:
Parents are accommodated on a separate floor, separate from the floor where the teams are staying.
Parents are not permitted on the floor where the competitors are accommodated. Meetings with camp participants may only take place in designated areas, such as common areas in the hotel or other areas indicated by the organisers.
The price for the package is €290 and includes a double room.
In the case of a single parent travelling to the camp, there is an additional charge of €150 for accommodation in a single room.

How do I book a room?

  1. Fill in the application form on our website and indicate which camp you are interested in and what type of room you would like (double or single).
  2. Upon receiving your request, we will send you an email confirmation of your booking along with further details.
  3. To confirm your booking, you must pay a deposit of 50% of the total booking value within 3 days of receiving confirmation. Failure to pay the deposit within this period may result in the cancellation of your booking.

Important:
The total payment for the room reservation should be settled no later than 3 days prior to arrival.

Parents Package

The parents package includes:

FAQ for parents – Ziętara Camp

Is there a car park in front of the hotel?

Yes, there is a car park available for guests in front of the Szafran**** Hotel in Czeladź.

Yes, the hotel is pet-friendly. You may bring your pet, but please consult the hotel reception desk in advance to discuss the details.

For organisational reasons and for the comfort of camp participants, children are accommodated on a group floor together with other players. Parents are not allowed to stay in the participants' rooms. It is possible to meet with your child in designated common areas in the hotel or other places indicated by the organisers.

Yes, in such cases, the child pays the full camp fee but is accommodated with their parent on the floor designated for parents. The parent pays for the parent package, without having to pay extra for a single room. This allows you to be together while enjoying the amenities offered by the camp.

Reservations can be made by filling out the application form on our website. Select the appropriate room type (single or double) and, after confirming your reservation, pay a 50% deposit. Details regarding reservations can be found in the section ‘Room reservations for parents.’

Yes, parents may meet with their children in designated common areas in the hotel or in other places indicated by the organisers. Please arrange the details in advance with the group leaders.

Parents can watch their child's training sessions from the ice rink stands. However, please do not enter the participants' private areas, such as changing rooms or rooms.

It is not possible to purchase additional meals as part of the camp. The hotel has a restaurant where parents can order meals on site. It is also possible to take advantage of the catering offer in nearby restaurants in town.
