David Minarik

David Minárik is an experienced coach and mentor whose sports and coaching career has developed in many countries. He began his hockey career with the Slovak club Dukla Trenčín, where he played until the age of 17, after which he moved to Sweden. For the Slovak national team, he appeared at the U20 World Championships in Malmö. After his playing career ended due to injury, David devoted himself to full-time coaching. For five years he worked as a skills coach at the Jokers Hockey Academy in Slovakia. In 2018, he joined the Vienna Capitals (EBEL) as a technique coach. He then developed both young players and seniors at the Hungarian club Dunaújváros for two seasons. Currently, David is a coach at Karpáti Farkasok, where he trains players of all age groups. At the same time, he serves as technique coach for the senior team of Gyergyói HK, which plays in the international league - Erste Liga. David has participated in the organization of more than 50 camps around the world, working with players of different levels and age groups. His international experience, passion for hockey and commitment to player development make him a highly respected coach in the hockey community.
Krzysztof Zborowski
Manager, Team Leader
Former Polish U18, U20 and senior representative, participant of the Elite World Championships in 2002 and tournaments in 2003, 2009 and 2010. Polish Champion with Podhale Nowy Targ, four-time winner of the bronze medal and two-time winner of the Golden Stick (2009 and 2010) for the best player in the league. Associated with the Ziętara Hockey School since 2013 as a member of the Ziętara Eagles training staff and camp manager, supervising their course and remaining in constant contact with the parents of the participants.
Patrick Spesny
Head Goalkeeping Coach
A graduate of the Czech top league club HC Verva Litvínov, where he gained experience on the highest level of ice rinks. As a junior, he won the gold medal in the Czech provincial championship. During his career, he also represented HC Most and HC Draci Bílina. In the Polish top league, he played for Naprzód Janów, TKH Toruń and STS Sanok. For three seasons, he has been the goalkeeper of EC Będzin Zagłębie Sosnowiec. Despite being an active goalkeeper, Patrik also trains goalkeepers, being a professional in his field and a favorite of young adepts of this position.
Marcel Kotuła
Goalkeeping coach
Raised by Zagłębie Sosnowiec and a former extraliga goalkeeper who represented Zagłębie Sosnowiec, SMS Katowice and the Polish U18 and U20 national teams. He is a young, ambitious coach with a great passion for hockey, who perfectly complements and cooperates with Patrik Spesný, creating a harmonious training duo. He is currently focusing on the development of young goalkeepers as a coach at UKS Zagłębie Sosnowiec, sharing his experience and knowledge to support the next generation of talented goalkeepers

Group coach
A former player in the Ekstraklasa and the Polish national team, a graduate of Zagłębie Sosnowiec, where he ended his career in 2016. A two-time participant in the U18 and U20 World Championships, he won a bronze medal with the youth national team. He played 13 times in the senior Polish national team. After ending his coaching career, he has been training young people in Sosnowiec, and his sons continue the family hockey tradition. He has been associated with the Ziętara Hockey School since 2018.
Maciej Ożóg
Group coach
A Toruń hockey graduate, a former player in the Ekstraliga and the Polish U16, U18 and U20 youth national teams. During his career, he played in clubs such as SMS Sosnowiec, BTH Bydgoszcz and WTH Wrocław. He currently runs youth groups in MKS Sokoły Toruń and OSM Północ (U11). He regularly participates in coaching training. He has been associated with the Ziętara Hockey School since 2017, supporting the development of young players.
Julka Zielińska
Group coach
A graduate of MUKS Naprzod Janów, who represented the club until 2019, playing in both the boys' and women's teams. In the 2018/2019 season, she won the Slovak Championship with the Popradskie Lisky team, playing in the Slovak Women's Extraliga. For five seasons, she represented the Finnish club Kiekko-Espoo, winning 2 gold and 2 silver medals in the Finnish Women's Championship and gold with the U20 team. She is currently the first Polish woman to play in NCAA D1 at Bemidji State University. A representative of Poland, previously in the U18 team, and currently a senior. She joined the Ziętara School Hockey team in 2024
Krzysztof Dudkiewicz
Group coach
A graduate of Unia Oświęcim, a former player of the Polish Hockey League, who in his career represented the colors of clubs such as JKH GKS Jastrzębie, Polonia Bytom and Re-Plast Unia Oświęcim, where he played as a forward. He currently plays in the 1. PHL in the Sabers Oświęcim team. He has a Polish vice-championship and a bronze medal under his belt. He is a coach of the youngest age groups in UKH Unia Oświęcim, and combines his passion for hockey with commitment to the development of young players.
Julia Badowska
Mental trainer
Sports psychologist with over 20 years of experience in working with young people, specializing in supporting young players from the age of 7. She lectures on children's sports psychology at SWPS University and supports parents, coaches and referees. Associated with Ziętara's Hockey School since 2016, introducing mental training at camps. She also runs a thematic profile on Instagram: @psychologsportudzieci.
Ziętara International Game Camp is a unique event that combines hockey technique training with the atmosphere of sports competition.
From July 13-18, 72 players born in 2012-2017, divided into older and younger groups, will have the opportunity to improve their skills, work on team play elements and develop their tactical understanding of hockey.
The older group will focus on developing skills related to the game and behavior during the match. Training sessions are planned with divisions for centers, wingers and defenders to precisely practice roles and tasks during the game. A lot of time will be devoted to theory and tactics, helping participants understand habits and behaviors that are key in match situations and how to shape them.
The younger group will participate in a more diverse program, where evening training sessions will turn into exciting ZHL league games. Participants, taking on the roles of teams such as the Florida Alligators, Toronto Hornets, or Washington Eagles, will compete in an extraordinary atmosphere of hockey competition, enjoying the game and integrating with their peers.
ZHL competitions for younger participants and an intensive tactical programme for older players are the perfect combination to develop skills, understanding of the game and team spirit.

- A qualification card, which must be completed, legibly scanned and returned within 3 days from its receipt.

Ziętara International Game Camp #3
Who is this camp for?
The camp is designed for players born in 2008–2017, divided into three training groups. It is ideal for young hockey players who want to improve their skills, test themselves against their peers and prepare for an intensive season in clubs.
How long is the camp and where is it held?
Ziętara International Game Camp #3 runs from 13 to 19 July 2025. Trainings take place in the most modern facility in Poland – ArcelorMittal Park in Sosnowiec, and accommodation is provided by the four-star Holiday Inn Hotel in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
What does the first day of camp look like?
The players assemble at the ArcelorMittal Park ice rink in Sosnowiec. Each participant meets their group coaches and settles in the locker room and then takes their hotel luggage. Once accommodated, there is an opportunity to sharpen the skates. At 12:00 there is a welcome meeting where the camp program and objectives are discussed. Afterwards, the players are placed under the supervision of the coaches.
Can there be changes in groups during the camp?
Can a child who does not speak Polish participate in the camp?
How does the accommodation take place?
Is the camp registered with the education authority?
Yes, each camp is reported to the education authority. If parents need confirmation, they can submit such a request to the camp manager on the first day or send an inquiry by e-mail.
Can I receive an invoice for the camp?
Yes, you only need to provide full invoice details. The invoice will be sent by email or can be collected on the last day of the camp from the manager
Can a parent stay at the campsite?
Parents can watch all on-ice practices from the stands, but they are not allowed in the locker rooms or hotel rooms.
How do the stationary and walk-in options differ?
The stationary option includes the entire camp package, including accommodation. In this option, parents leave the player on the first day and pick them up on the last. The walk-in option does not include accommodation – the player reports for morning training, and the parent picks them up around 9:00 p.m.
What does goalkeeping training at the camp look like?
Goalkeepers train in their own groups A, B or C, and their training program is developed by specialist goalkeeping coaches. Part of the morning sessions are dedicated exclusively to goalkeepers. During off-ice training, goalkeepers have separate sessions tailored to their needs. There are a maximum of five goalkeepers in one goalkeeping group.
Can a child taking medication participate in the camp?
Can a child with food allergies participate in the camp?
Yes, food allergies or special dietary needs must be reported on the qualification form. The kitchen staff will adapt the menu to the individual needs of the participant.
